Mufti Taqi Usmani survives, two dead in Karachi attack

One police personnel and one security guard were martyred and two persons were critical injured in separate incidents of firing in Karachi today.

According to police the first incident was took place at Nipa Chowrangi where armed motorcyclists opened fire on a car and fled from the spot.

Police said that injured persons were shifted to hospital where security guard succumbed to their injuries while Molana Amir Shahab is in critical condition and admitted at ICU Jinnah Hospital.

Police further said that the second incident took place at Shahra-e-faisal Nursery, where one Police personnel was martyred and one persons was injured.

Inspector General Sindh Police Dr Syed Kalim Imam said that renowned Islamic scholar Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani is remained safe in the second incident of firing.

Police, Rangers and other law enforcement agencies cordoned off the areas and evidences are being collected.

Governor Sindh Imran Ismail and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali took the notice of the incidents and summoned reports from Karachi Police.

Chief Minister Sindh said that arrest the assailants as soon as possible and bring them to the justice and directed to enhance patrolling in the city.
