Mamnoon emphasizes need for enhancing cooperation with CARs

ISLAMABAD:President Mamnoon Hussain has emphasized the need for enhancing cooperation with central Asian countries at all levels to fully utilize the dividends of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Talking to a delegation of the participants of an international seminar, which called on him in Islamabad today (Thursday), he said CPEC has opened up new avenues of investment in Pakistan for the Central Asian countries which will also be mutually beneficial for these countries.

He stressed that there are deep historical and cultural links between Pakistan and Central Asian Republics which make our cooperation more meaningful in all fields of life.

He underscored the need for frequent exchange of visits of the experts from various walks of life so that they can explore different opportunities and work for the progress and prosperity of the people.

Mamnoon Hussain said Pakistan is a land of great opportunities from which friendly countries particularly countries from Central Asia can benefit the most.

He highlighted that Pakistan is producing various state of the art products including defence equipment and Central Asian Republics can benefit from Pakistan's experience and products in these fields.

The President pointed out that Pakistan has successfully eradicated the menace of extremism and terrorism through Operation Zarb-e-Azb and Radd-ul-Fassad and hideouts of terrorists are being destroyed which have resulted in the restoration of peace and revival of trade and Industrial activities.
