Cracks appear in federal bureaucracy: Secretariat group takes on PAS

ISLAMABAD: The promotion matter of Federal bureaucracy was deteriorating day by day, as differences erupted among high ranks of bureaucracy on not giving the respective promotion quota.

According to sources, the officers hailed from Secretariat Group has decided to knock the door of court in order to get back the 65% quota of promotion from Pakistan Administrative Services (former DMG) Group.

One of the officer stated that Federal government had discriminately given specified 65% quota to DMG group though a SRO.

He added that the promotions of as many as 960 officers had directed the government with negative action. However, the sources have disclosed that Prime Minister Principal Secretary Fawad Hassan was the creator of SRO that was issued in 2014.

It was further stated that Fawad Hassan had done this work on the will of high-ups of ruling PML-N government so that massive benefit provide to DMG group.

Sources added that the differences in bureaucracy had gone severer after the recently announced promotions of senior bureaucracy as government had benefitted to its blue eye officers in promotion process. The matter has taken an interesting turn as most of the DMG group officers were also opposing the Fawad Hassan.
