State Bank of Pakistan issues fresh currency notes worth Rs 342 billion

State Bank of Pakistan has issued fresh currency notes worth 342 billion rupees this Ramadan.
According to a statement issued by the central bank, the commercial banks have been issued fresh currency notes worth 40 billion rupees out of this amount.
The amount also includes 25 billion rupees issued through SMS service by 1002 branches of commercial banks in 135 cities and sixteen field offices.
Meanwhile, special teams of State Bank of Pakistan and its Banking Services Cooperation have also been deputed to inspect and monitor the working of ATMs across Pakistan during Eid holidays.
