Pakistan acquires Chinese satellite to monitor desert locusts July 23, 2020

ISLAMABAD-Pakistan has acquired satellite and meteorological data from China that can be used to monitor desert locusts and early warnings.  

According to China Meteorological Administration, it released special reports on remote sensing data of locust attacks in Pakistan.

It said China's Fengyun series satellites can generate information for analysis of locust-affected area by monitoring rainfall, soil moisture and land surface temperature.
