Pakistan called for promotion international economic cooperation at UN

At the united Nation, Pakistan has called for working together to promote international economic cooperation.
In a message marking 75th Anniversary of United Nations' Economic and Social Council, Pakistan's Ambassador to United Nations, Munir Akram said ECOSOC’s central mandate is to promote better living standards in larger freedoms through international economic cooperation.
He said world is facing most serious global health and economic crisis since establishment of UN and creation of ECOSOC, resulting in increased poverty and hunger.
Munir Akram said entire system of international cooperation on economic, social, health, humanitarian and development issues has been created under ECOSOC’s umbrella and now twenty international organizations, regional commissions and autonomous entities report annually to it.
