KP Apex Committee meeting takes several decisions over tribal districts

PESHAWAR - A meeting of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Apex Committee held in Peshawar on Wednesday made a number of decisions for the infrastructure development in the seven merged districts and six frontier regions.

Governor Shah Farman presided the meeting.

The apex committee approved the creation of seventeen thousand additional posts in different departments in the seven new districts.

The meeting discussed the overall merger plan of erstwhile FATA, induction of levies and Khasadar into the regular police and creation of new posts in police.

It also discussed comprehensive developmental package for mainstreaming tribal districts.

The committee discussed administrative matters and extension of judicial system to tribal districts without any wastage of time so that the Supreme Court decision is implemented in letter and spirit.
