EU assures its support to Palestine

European Union has assured its support to Palestine to have East Jerusalem as capital of a Palestinian state.
The assurance was given by European Union's foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini to President Mahmoud Abbas at a meeting in Brussels on Monday.
Mahmoud Abbas also urged the EU member nations to recognise a state of Palestine immediately to restore peace in the region.
