Austrian Ambassador lauds CPEC, expresses interest in investment

KARACHI: Dr.Brigitta Blaha, the Ambassador of Austria to Pakistan here on Monday called on the Sindh Governor, Muhammad Zubair and expressed her deep interest in investment opportunities available in the province.
            She, during the meeting also appreciated pivotal role played by Pakistan in the ongoing war against terrorism.         
 
Emphasizing that her country was keen to promote cooperation and also initiate series of joint ventures with Pakistan, Dr.Brigitta Blaha said Karachi is a city with immense opportunities that holds special attraction for the investors from across the globe.
           
"Austrian investors, particularly since restoration of law and order, are increasingly interested to invest here in different sectors," said the Austrian Ambassador.
           
She also acknowledged that CPEC has emerged as a tool of prosperity and that a financially stable Pakistan would equally benefit the entire South Asian region also beyond.
           
Governor of Sindh sharing the details of development, in specific context of infrastructure and related fields, said there was enough room to focus on joint ventures between the two countries.
           
He in this context suggested need to revise the Travel Advisory issued by Austrian Government for Pakistan adding that since law and order situation has improved the approach must be reviewed.
           
"This is all the more important as we need to have mode exchange of delegation comprising professionals and investors," said Governor.
