Federal government releases huge amount of funds for water and power projects across Pakistan

ISLAMABAD - The government has released a sum of Rs 33,365.570 million for various water and power projects in annual Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for fiscal year 2018-19 so far.
According to the data of Planning Commission, an amount of Rs 320 million has been released for the construction of Basool Dam Tehsil Ormara, District Gwadar, sum of Rs 4550 million for Extension of Right Bank Outfall Drain (RBOD-II) from Sehwan to Sea.
A sum Rs 800 million has been released for Kachhi canal project phase-1, Rs 700 for lining of distributaries and minors in Sindh, Rs 693 Kurram Tangi Multipurpose dam storage, Rs 700 lower Indus right bank irrigation and drainage project, Rs 700 Makhi Farash link canal project, Rs 400 million for Gruk Storage dam district Kharan and Rs 4,736 million for Diamer Basha dam project ,
A sum of Rs4550 million has been released for Kachhi Canal Project, Rs600 million for Remedial Measure to Control Water Logging (Muzaffargarh), Rs400 million for Remodeling of Warsak Canal System (Peshawar) and Rs 400 million for Nai Gaj Dam (Dadu).
A sum of Rs 300 million has been released for strengthening of TSG centre for Grid System operation and maintenance, Rs 100 million for 220 –KV Mastung, Rs 100 for 500-KV Lahore North.
An amount of Rs40 million was released for construction of 132KV grid station at Dadar, Rs20.546 million for construction of 132 KV grid station at Deep Sea Port (Gwadar) and Rs20 million for 132KV at Isplinji (Mastung).
