Election Commission of Pakistan prepare to import 400 Electronic Voting Machines

ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan ECP has started preparation for the use of Electronic Voting Machines for the first time in history of Pakistan. All the preparations have been completed to invite proposals from national and international companies for purchasing machines.
As per details, the Election Commission is continuing efforts to make 2018 general elections fair and transparent. The process of buying Electronic Voting Machines will be started after the approval of Electoral Reforms Committee.
According to the sources of ECP, 400 machines will be imported initially and these machines will be used for experiment purpose. The experiment of electronic voting machines will be made in by-elections during current year.
