Baldia Town factory fire was an incident of terrorism: JIT

KARACHI: The forensic Laboratory of Punjab has prepared its report over the Baldia Town factory fire. The report revealed that the incident of fire was not accidental but Baldia Town factory was intentionally put on fire.
As per details, Police decided to file FIR of incident again in the light of report and recommended to put the names of accused in ECL who were involved in Baldia Town fire.
259 men were died due to the incident of fire in Baldia Town Garments factory in September 2012. Punjab Forensic team has prepared its report regarding the chemical examination.
An officer of JIT claimed that short circuit was not the cause of fire but the factory was put on fire intentionally by throwing chemical.
The report mentioned that an extortion of 20 crore was demanded from factory owners but the owners refused to give extortion. The extortion was demanded by Sector In-Charge of MQM Rehman Bhola and Hammad Siddiqui.
It is recommended by JIT to nominate 8 men in the case FIR including Rehman Gola, Hammad Siddiqui and Zubair.
