US Commander in Afghanistan General John Campbell meets COAS to discuss regional security

RAWALPINDI: Commander Resolute Support Mission and United States Forces in Afghanistan Gen. John Campbell met with Chief of Army Staff Gen. Raheel Sharif in GHQ, Rawalpindi. As per ISPR statement, matters related to mutual interest were discussed in meeting. Both dignitaries also discussed the regional security situation particularly reconciliation process in Afghanistan came under discussion. Gen Raheel stressed the need for enhanced coordination between Pakistan, US and Afghanistan at the Pak-Afghan border to prevent escape of insurgents into Afghanistan.
