Federal Government rejects Sindh government summary of limited Rangers powers

ISLAMABAD: Federal Government has rejected the Sindh government summary to limit Rangers Powers and restored the special powers of Rangers in Sindh. Ranger’s powers has been extended for 2 months. As per details, Interior Minister Ch. Nisar chaired a meeting of Interior Ministry officials in Islamabad to review the Sindh government summary regarding Rangers powers. The Interior Ministry has decided to reject summary in this meeting. Interior Ministry sources said that the Sindh government summary has been rejected according to article 143 of the constitution. Federal law has priority on Provincial law according to article 143. According to the sources, the federal interior ministry is expected to issue a notification regarding the special powers of Rangers today.
