66 Indian fishermen arrested of Karachi cost over violation of Pak maritime boundaries

KARACHI: 66 Indian fishermen were arrested by Maritime Security Agency for violating the territorial waters in the Arabian Sea. Maritime Security Agency has taken their 11 boats in its custody. As per details, they were violating the maritime boundaries. The arrested fishermen will be handed over to Docks police in Karachi. Fishermen are frequently arrested along with their boats by both India and Pakistan, as the maritime border in the Arabian Sea is poorly defined. According to Indian media, the fishermen are from the Saurashtra region. Both countries also use release of fishermen to express goodwill from time to time.
