Pakistan NSA chairs first meeting of NAP implementation committee

ISLAMABAD (APP): The first meeting of Committee for implementation of National Action Plan (NAP) held on Monday in Prime Minister House.
The meeting was presided over by Advisor to the Prime Minister on National Security, Lt. General (R) Nasir Khan Janjua, said a press release.
The meeting reviewed all measures taken with reference to NAP and attended by all relevant federal and provincial government's representatives, chief secretaries of all provinces, home secretaries, Inspector Generals police, DG(MO) and senior representatives of Intelligence Bureau.
Chief Minister of Gilgit Baltistan, Attorney General, Chairman PEMRA and Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Authority were also attended the meeting on special invitation.
Lt. General (R) Nasir Khan Janjua in his welcome address, said that NAP was a national need and it is such a panacea and solution of problems on which all political parties and entire nation has consensus.
It was first kind of such meeting in which 20 points of NAP were discussed since the inception of it.
Chairman of Committee while addressing the meeting paid tributes to the sacrifices of people, Police, Rangers and Army whose perseverance and steadfastness helped us in getting rid of menace of terrorism.
He reiterated his determination to achieve and fulfillment of the objective.
During meeting all representatives of Federal units renewed their determination to utilize all their capabilities to defeat enemy in this war of terrorism.
