Saudi Arabia gives an exclusive 12 billion package for Pakistan

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan gets an exclusive package of $12 billion from SaudiArabia.

As per the media report, Saudi Arabia has announced a US$12 package forPakistan in three years.

Package includes $3 billion cash for balance of payment and for three years$3 billion deferred oil facility.

According to a press release issued on Tuesday, Prime Minister Imran Khanvisited Saudi Arabia on the invitation of the Custodian of the Two HolyMosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz to participate in the Future InvestmentInitiative (FII) Conference on October 22-23.

During the visit, the prime minister had detailed bilateral discussionswith King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.

The Crown Prince agreed to the prime minister’s suggestion to reduce visafee for Pakistani workers, which is a significant step towards enhancingPakistan’s workforce in Saudi Arabia, as well as facilitating travel ofpeople from both countries. Far-reaching decisions on bilateral economicand financial cooperation were also agreed.
