National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched latest PAK-IDmobile application to facilitate citizens applying for the nationalidentity card, especially to the overseas Pakistanis.
NADRA chairman Tariq Malik appealed to the general masses to apprise aboutthe performance of the application. The launch of the NADRA’s mobile apphas made Pakistan the world’s first country to introduce “ID technology”.Thanks to the Pak ID mobile app, Pakistani citizens no longer need to go toNADRA offices and wait in long queues to get ID cards and familyregistration cards.
Tariq Malik said that the mobile app includes document identificationsystem and biometric verification facility, citizens can upload necessarydocuments through the mobile app.
He said photograph, fingerprints and digital signature can also be added tothe online application, this initiative will play a very important role inachieving the objectives of Digital Pakistan.
