ISLAMABAD - NAB rings the alarm bells as Major decision taken over mega corruption references by the Chairman.
Chairman NAB Justice Javed Iqbal has said that NAB looks at the case, not face. The country will be cleansed of all forms of corruption.
According to details, Chairman of National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Justice Justice Javed Iqbal is determined to bring corruption cases to a logical end. NAB, in a major declaration, has decided to file petitions for hearing of the pending 1210 reference in the courts.
Chairman NAB Javed Iqbal said in a statement that in the 22 months, 600 references have been filed in the courts. Rs 71 billion was deposited in the national treasury as well as the 43 accused involved in the scam and conspiracy scandal.
Javed Iqbal said the conviction rate for corrupt elements is 70%. Gallup and Galloway surveys are proof of public trust in the NAB.
