Pakistan Hockey team head coach takes a surprise decision

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan National Hockey team coach Roelant Oltmans has taken a surprise decision.

The head coach has decided to step down from his position.

He revelaed that he has not been given the desired environment to work with the team.

The Dutchman took the blame of Pakistan team’s unimpressive run in the recent times on himself.

“I’m responsible for the performance and results of the team,” Oltman wrote in the letter to the Pakistan Hockey Federation.

“I feel that the circumstances at present do not create an environment where we can get the best out of the team,” he added.

Pakistan hockey team did not do well during Champions Trophy where they finished at the last position in the six-team tournament.
