US counsel general pays homage to Quaid e Azam

KARACHI: (APP) U.S. Consul General in Karachi, Grace Shelton, visited the mausoleum of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and paid her respects to the founder of Pakistan.

A US Consulate statement on Thursday said that the Consul General laid a wreath at the mausoleum and signed the guestbook on behalf of the U.S. Consulate General in Karachi.
She noted, "The United States share Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah's vision of a democratic, tolerant and progressive Pakistan. My visit to his mausoleum has offered me an opportunity to reflect upon his everlasting vision and accomplishments and their continuing importance to all of us as we work toward a strong and peaceful Pakistan."

Grace Shelton, later, visited the adjoining museum and took a keen interest in the artefacts related to the life of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
