A PML-N leader from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Mahmoodul Hassan Raja, had journeyed to Lahore on Saturday to participate in the reception for PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif at Minar-e-Pakistan. Tragically, on his way back to Azad Jammu and Kashmir, an accident occurred.
Specifically, the central PML-N leaders' car veered off the road and fell into a deep ditch near Islamgarh tehsil in the Mirpur district, resulting in his immediate demise.
The context surrounding this incident is noteworthy, as Nawaz Sharif, the PML-N supremo and former prime minister, had returned home after a four-year absence on the same day.
His arrival took place at Islamabad International Airport, where he was welcomed by Ishaq Dar and Azam Nazeer Tarar. Following this, Nawaz Sharif had a meeting with his legal team and then proceeded to Lahore, where he addressed a reception rally at Minar-e-Pakistan.
