India sent 38.5 tonnes of humanitarian aid to the Sinai region in Egypt for Palestinian civilians from Gaza. The aid, transported by an Indian air force Boeing C-17 plane, consisted of approximately 6.5 tonnes of medical supplies and 32 tonnes of disaster relief materials.
These included life-saving medicines, surgical equipment, tents, sleeping bags, tarpaulins, sanitary utilities, and water purification tablets, among other essential items.
This humanitarian effort comes in the context of the recent conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.
While India condemned the Hamas attack, it also reiterated its support for an independent Palestinian state.
