Former Chief Selector Aamer Sohail, while providing important advice to the Pakistan team, emphasized the practical wisdom under which Pakistan can achieve success in their upcoming matches.
During a sports program, Aamer Sohail was asked by the host what practical wisdom should be instilled in Pakistan for the upcoming matches, to which the former opener replied that when facing the opposing team, you should understand your own capabilities and be aware of their skills. He stated that if you think a player will perform certain actions on your terms, it won't work out that way.
Aamer Sohail mentioned that a spinner should have a long leash, openly suggesting flighted deliveries. By calling a long bowler "flighted," it becomes evident how much authority the captain has.
He stressed that until your practical wisdom against the opposing team is not accurate, the bowling won't improve, and addressing bowling issues is necessary because better batting is already being displayed.
Aamer Sohail stated that if your bowlers can stop the opposing team at 270, 290, or 300 runs, your batting should be strong enough to chase that target.
He noted that Australia's recent win was because they had scored a substantial number of runs, and now their bowling was coming together. So, why did you make them bat first? We needed to put runs on the board earlier.
