After Russia, Pakistan gets cheap petroleum import offer from Iran

Sindh Chief Minister Justice (Retd) Maqbool Baqar met with the Consul General of Iran, Hasan Nourian. During the meeting, they exchanged views on bilateral relations and mutual interests.

According to the statement, Iranian enviy mentioned that all Muslim countries are brothers and that in Sindh, he doesn't feel alone. The Iranian Consul General mentioned the memorandum of understanding signed between the chambers of commerce of Tehran and Isfahan with the Karachi Chamber, which will open new trade opportunities.

Hasan Nourian stated that under this memorandum of understanding, Iran can export fruits, vegetables, and petroleum products to Pakistan. The land routes between Iran, Iraq, and Oman will open up for tourism, and if any investor comes from Iran or Pakistan, they will initiate a free service.

They also discussed the difficulty Iranian students face in obtaining visas in Pakistan compared to India, with only 10 to 15 Iranian students currently studying in Pakistan. Sindh Chief Minister expressed his intention to discuss easing student visas and providing banking facilities with the federal government. They also condemned Israeli aggression against Palestine.
