$ 1.8 billion Thar Coal mining project III approved

A high level meeting chaired by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah was held in Karachi on Friday.
The meeting approved one point eight billion dollar phase-III coal mining project at Thar coal.
The meeting was informed that with completion of third phase Sindh government will receive ten billion rupees royalty annually whereas there will be benefit of sixty billion rupees to consumers with availability of electricity on low price.
Addressing the meeting, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said with expansion of coal mining in phase three 12.2 million ton coal will be achieved annually.
Under this project, coal will be provided to coal based projects in other parts of the country.
