Big development reported between Pakistan and Russia

Russia and Pakistan are collaborating to establish direct flight services, a move anticipated to fortify bilateral ties and augment trade relations between the two nations.

Muhammad Khalid Jamal, the recently appointed Pakistani Ambassador to Russia, underscored this initiative in his recent statements to TASS. He emphasized the significance of these direct flights in fostering closer people-to-people contact and improving economic interactions.

Ambassador Jamal expressed optimism about the positive impact of resuming direct air services, foreseeing a substantial contribution to bringing the people of both countries closer together and boosting trade. He acknowledged the economic considerations involved, highlighting the necessity for airlines to assess the profitability of these routes.

Reflecting on the past, the Pakistani envoy noted the existence of direct flights that had previously resulted in an increased number of Russian tourists visiting Pakistan. However, financial challenges faced by airlines led to disruptions in these services.

Despite these challenges, Ambassador Jamal remains hopeful about the potential surge in tourism once direct flights are reinstated. He specifically pointed to the improving security situation in Pakistan as a key factor that could attract more Russian tourists to the region.
