Minister of State for interior Shehryar Khan Afridi has urged media to refrain from flashing such news that could create chaos in the country.
Addressing in a conference titled "National Security, Nation Building and Mass Media" in Islamabad on Thursday, he said collective efforts are required to be made for national security.
Shehryar Khan Afridi said government will make all out efforts to put the house in order engaging all key stakeholders on national issues.
He said unfortunately National Action Plan was not implemented in letter and spirit which resulted in disorder in the country.
Minister of State called for bringing the religious seminaries to the main stream to build a national narrative.
He said freedom of expression should be practiced with certain limits and on the initiative of Prime Minister Imran Khan Pakistan will soon spearhead an international campaign in this regard to ensure respect for all religions.
Shehryar Khan Afridi categorically stated that all the elements who have damaged this country in the name of religion and sectarianism will be held accountable.
