US conducts airstrikes on opium labs in Afghanistan

The United States has conducted a series of airstrikes on opium-production labs in Afghanistan.


The strikes are part of a campaign targeting the Talibans two hundred million dollars drug trade per year. 


The Commander of the US operations in Afghanistan, General John Nicholson said that B-52 bombers and F-22 warplanes took part in the strikes in northern Helmand province.
