PML-N MNAs should hang their heads in shame: Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: PTI chairman Imran Khan has said that what a terrible and demoralizing message has gone out to the nation, especially the youth – that there is nothing wrong with being corrupt.
Reacting to the passage of the constitutional amendment bill on Tuesday, he said that the PML-N MNAs also showed that their only purpose in the parliament is to protect the Sharif mafia’s corruption. “In a democracy, moral authority is a core principle. Today that was negated by the PML-N which sought to place their corrupt leader above all laws.”
The PTI chairman said that today all PML-N MNAs should hang their heads in shame for making a farce out of the democracy.
“They opposed an amendment to the election law, simply to allow Nawaz Sharif to remain as head of the PML-N despite being disqualified from membership of Parliament under the Constitution,” he maintained.
