PM Imran Khan responds over the sugar inquiry commission report

*ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan lauded Sugar Inquiry Commission chief Wajid Zia for preparing a good report.*

According to the inside story of the federal cabinet’s special meeting, the prime minister also appreciated the cabinet members for uniting in the war against corruption.

Lauding Wajid Zia for preparing an unambiguous report, the prime minister reiterated his stance that he would not spare any mafia. “I have been struggling against such mafias for the last two decades. I will not bow before these mafias at all costs. After assuming the power, I came to know how much mafias are active in the country,” he said.

Prime Minister Imran Khan declared that he would not pardon a culprit no matter how much he is near to him. “I will make the decision as per law. I know the mafia is very strong. The country was looted mercilessly. I will expose other mafias as well,” he resolved.

He said: “I am glad that the entire cabinet is with me in the war against corruption. I am doing the work which is better for the people.”

To the harsh questions put by Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan, Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry, Minister for Communication Murad Saeed and Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari as why the subsidy and export were approved, the prime minister said that the country’s economic affairs were in difficulty. “It was our compulsion to export sugar,” he said.
