PTI Govt working to bridge import-export gap: Bakhtiar

Minister for Planning and Development Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar says the incumbent government is working to bridge the import-export gap.
Talking to a private news channel, he said government has reduced the current account deficit, left by the previous regime of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
The Minister said PML-N government had maintained the dollar price through artificially means and had injected some 9 billion dollars in cash in the market for the purpose.
Replying to a question, he said a charter of economy is need of the hour and all the parties should rise above their political affiliations for the purpose.
Khusro Bakhtiar said the government is making efforts to expand the scope of China Pakistan Economic Corridor and negotiations are underway with China for cooperation in the agriculture sector.
