India test fires BrahMos cruise missile

NEW DELHI: India today conducted the first test of the BrahMos cruise missile aimed at increasing its life from 10 to 15 years.

Indian Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman confirmed the test fire and said the missile was fired from a mobile launcher from the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur along the eastern state of Odisha's coast.

The Indian Army has inducted three regiments of BrahMos in its arsenal. APP
