Punjab University book fair cancelled as tensions continue in Campus

LAHORE: Punjab University, Pakistan's largest and top most cradle of learning witnessed worst fiasco on Tuesday when rival groups clashed in the university campus.
Tensions continue in Punjab University after the clash between two groups in Punjab University on Tuesday.
The book fair which was to be held on April 4 has been postponed.
The police have registered a case of strife while an eight-member fact finding committee has been constituted to investigate the matter.
Heavy contingents of police have been deployed at various blocks of the university.
A search operation is also underway in the university and several suspected persons have been held from the hostels.
Several students were injured as the stick-wielding activists of Islami Jamiat-e-Tulba attacked the Pashtoon Cultural Festival being held in Punjab University on Tuesday.
