Public-Private Partnership Bill passed in NA

ISLAMABAD (APP): The National Assembly on Wednesday passed 'The Pakistan Commissions of Inquiry Bill, 2017' and 'The Public Private Partnership Authority Bill, 2017'.

Minister for Law and Justice, Zahid Hamid moved the Bill 'The Pakistan Commissions of Inquiry Bill, 2017' for the constitution of commissions of inquiry.

Parliamentary Secretary for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization, Rana Muhammad Afzal Khan moved 'The Public Private Partnership Authority Bill, 2017' to provide a regulatory and enabling environment for private participation in provision of public infrastructure and related services through fair and transparent procurement processes.

The house passed all clauses of the both bills with majority.
