KARACHI: Pak Army defeats PIA to win Lyari Peace Football Tournament

KARACHI: Pakistan Army team succeeded to win the title of Peace Football Tournament by defeating former champion PIA. The final match was played between both the teams in Peoples Sports Complex Football Stadium, Karachi here at Tuesday.
As per details, a large number of people gathered to witness the final match. Pak Army team defeated former champion PIA team by 2-0 score. DFA West team succeeded to secure third position by defeating SSGC by 5-4 goals.
Sindh DG Rangers Maj. Gen. Bilal Akbar was the chief guest at the closing ceremony. He distributed prizes among the players who played very well.
Winning team was awarded with a trophy and 3 lakh cash prize while runner up team was conferred 2 lakh cash prize.
While addressing the ceremony Gen. Bilal said that Rangers are playing its role to promote positive activities in the society. He added that we are playing our role for the promotion of games in Karachi.
Sindh Football Association President Syed Khadim Ali Shah and Secretary Raheem Shah were also present in the ceremony.
