Panama Case JIT 3rd report: SC directions to Attorney General

A three-member special bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal resumed Panama Case hearing.

During the proceedings, the court asked Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Additional Director Wajid Zia, if the government departments were cooperating with the JIT, to which he said that the Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) provided the six-man panel with the some record whereas the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) did not.

He said that time and again they have asked the FBR to provide record but they didn’t cooperate with them.

The court asked the attorney general (AG) regarding the delay in providing the relevant record to the JIT. The court had ordered all departments to cooperate with the JIT.
