Indian anti Kashmir Industrial Policy in IOK regretted

ISLAMABAD, Jun 22 (APP): Indian anti Kashmir Industrial Policy in IOK regretted

Chairman of his own Hurriyet forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has demanded immediate scrapping of the anti-Kashmir New Industrial Policy in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK).

According to KMS, he said in a statement in Srinagar  the puppet authorities' disclosure in the so-celled Assembly that 545 industrial units had been set up by non-locals in the territory had made it clear that all the puppet governments right from 1947 had only been crying hoarse over the economic and social empowerment of Kashmiris.

He pointed out that the puppet regime was busy framing anti-Kashmir policies for disempowering people and making them economically dependent.

He said that it was unfortunate that in the name of setting up industrial units, non-local businessmen were not only allotted land but were also provided large capital over which they managed to get subsidy and then rent out this land to Indian forces.

Mirwaiz stressed the need to help the local traders and unemployed youth in getting employment opportunities.

The authorities should make an industrial policy that would help the local entrepreneurs set up industrial units and provide opportunity to the unemployed youth thus helping lift the poor and the destitute, he maintained.

He strongly condemned the illegal detention of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, and arrest and house arrest of other resistance leaders.

He said that the puppet administration was frustrated and trespassing all democratic and human rights of the people but that would not be able to cow down the pro-freedom leadership.

Meanwhile, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq delivered a sermon on the `Ten days of Forgiveness' of the holy month of Ramzan at the famous Bazaar Masjid at Bohri Kadal in Srinagar.

On the occasion, he highlighted various blessings of Ramzan including the revelation of the holy Quran.
