Highlights of Prime Minister's visit to Muzaffarabad

MUZAFFARABAD: (APP) Following are the highlights of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif's visit to Muzaffarabad where he also addressed a public gathering.

People from far flung areas reached University Ground to see and listen to the prime minister's address.

The participants including women and elderly attended the event despite stagnant rainwater in the ground.

The venue and its surrounding was decorated with flags and banners inscribed with party's and pro-Nawaz Sharif slogans

During his address, the Prime Minister also called Shah Ghulam Qadir of Neelum Valley at stage who got the highest number of votes in AJK election.

PML-N's electioneering team including Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid, Minister for Kashmir Affairs Barjis Tahir and Special Assistant to PM Asif Kirmani were present at stage.

The participants also carried the party flags, banners and also the stuffed lions - the PML-N's election symbol.

The electioneering by whole PPP leadership, including the outgoing government could not help the party win election.

The prime minister, later mixed up with the residents of Muzaffarabad who shook hand with their leader and chanted slogans.

The prime minister responded their sentiments by waving hands.
