KABUL - Over 40 Afghan Taliban militants and commanders surrender and join peace process.
In Afghanistan, 40 Taliban militants have surrendered to Afghan National Army in Ghor province amid military pressure in the mountainous region.
Afghan Ministry of Defense said in a statement that the latest surrendering came as a joint cleanup and search operation conducted.
Operations were conducted by Afghan army, police and intelligence agency personnel has been continuing in Shahrak.
