Quadrilateral Contact Group meeting on Afghan Peace Process to be held on February 23, 2016

KABUL: The fourth Quadrilateral Coordination Group (QCG) meeting on Afghan peace process will be held in Kabul on 23 Feb., 2016.

 

Pakistan, China, Afghanistan and US are struggling together for peace in the war-torn country.

 

Afghan government and Taliban are going to meet which will be the first ever direct talks after 7 months.

 

It is expected that the roadmap will be finalized in this meeting.

 

Army Chief General Raheel Sharif has reached Doha on one day official visit where he will talk with Qatri leadership about Afghan peace process.

 

It is decided in the 3rd QCG meeting to involve Taliban office in Qatar in the peace process.

 

It is claimed that a secret meeting between Afghan Taliban delegation from Qatar office and officials of QCG held in Islamabad for talks.

 

Thousands of people have died in 14 years war.

 

Both Pakistan and Afghanistan are suffering from Taliban attacks and NATO drone attacks.

 

Taliban claimed to settle talks for fulfilling their demands.

 

It is expected that this violence will come to an end by QCG peace talks.
