Assistant Political Agent Bajaur Agency, Anwarul Haq has said that youth volunteers can play significant role in the disaster management.
This he said while addressing a ceremony in connection with International Volunteer Day arranged by Pakistan Red Crescent Society with financial support of World Food Programme at Agency headquarters Khar today (Thursday).
He called upon the humanitarian organisations to educate the people, especially the youths about the importance of volunteerism.
Tribal elders, political and human right activists, religious scholars and members of civil society attended the event in large numbers.
Later, shields were distributed among brilliant volunteers of the Agency.
