Senate Committee lauds Foreign Office for principled stand at UN on Palestine

Senate Standing Committed on Foreign Affairs has appreciated Foreign Office for Pakistan's strong and principled-based stand at the UN on the issue of Palestine.
Its meeting was held in Islamabad today with Nuzhat Sadiq in the chair. Secretary Foreign Affairs Tehmina Janjua told the Committee that Pakistan adopted a clear position at the United Nations on Palestinian issue especially the US decision to move its embassy to Jerusalem. She also briefed the participants on the visit of the US Secretary of Defence to Pakistan.
She said Pakistan raised the issue of terrorists' safe havens in Afghanistan and the US side assured to look into the problem.
