Science Policy moot on Climate Change concludes

Three day International Science Policy Conference on Climate Change" concluded in Islamabad today (Thursday).
Addressing the concluding ceremony, Minister for Climate Change, Mushahidullah Khan said the government has taken a number of steps regarding climate change including passage of Pakistan Climate Change Act 2017 from the parliament.
The Minister also highlighted other initiatives taken by the government including Forest Policy, Prime Minister Green Pakistan Program.
Mushahidullah Khan said the Wildlife Department has been directed to formulate the Wildlife Policy.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chairman Planning Commission, Sartaj Aziz said that efforts are underway to tackle climate change through different projects.
The Conference was organized by Global Change Impact Studies Centre with the support of several important partners.
More than 700 delegates representing International and national research organizations, academia, government, media, law, parliamentarians and civil society attended the conference.
