KARACHI - The official website of Karachi police was hacked by Indian hackers. The website appeared to have been restored later in the evening.
The site http://www.karachipolice.gov.pkwas hacked by a group calling itself "Mallu Cyber Soldiers", with the phrase "Hacked By D3VIL S3C" written above a depiction of a human skull.
The hackers also wrote "we love India" in capital letters on the hacked website. The website was also playing Vande Mataram, India's national song.
Cross-border hacking attacks have been sporadic yet common since at least 1998.
A team of Indian hackers had defaced the official website of PPP earlier in June.
