Sindh Police gets the good news

KARACHI - Sindh Police remunerations have been made equal to the police in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provinces.

Inspector General of Police, Sindh Amjad Javed Saleemi presided over the seventh meeting of the Sindh Police Benevolent/Welfare fund board here at the Central Police Office. Additional IGs, head of CPLC, Zonal and other DIGs and officials of Sindh Finance Department attended the meeting which approved a raise in the remuneration for Sindh Police.

As per the decision the marriage grant was increased to fifty thousands from ten thousands which will be given to two kids of a policeperson, and as such a policeperson may get Rs100, 000 as grant for the marriages of his/her children.

The retirement grant was increased for 15000 and life retirement after sixty-year from 25000 to the basic salary of the policeperson.

The children of policeperson would get fifty percent of tuition fee on 70 percent or above marks in the past. Spokesman said that if a child of police person now gets 65 percent marks he will get 100% scholarship, meaning children of the policepersons getting 65 percent marks will get free education in the next grade.

The medical aid has been raised from one lack to one million, spokesperson said, adding those facing legal problem will get legal aid of up to Rs5 lacks.

The meeting decided that if a policeman gets injured during duty he will get a special motorcycle.

As a total IG has added up Rs200 millions to the Sindh Police Welfare Board, enabling it to give these facilities to the policepersons.

The widows of policemen who would get Rs3000 monthly will get now Rs5000 per month and by the pending amount will also be transferred online to the accounts of the widows.
