Saudi Arabia intercepts ballistic missile

RIYADH - Saudi-led coalition involved in a war in Yemen intercepted a ballistic missile shot from Yemen by Houthi militias towards border city Jazan.

In a statement, the coalition spokesperson Turki Al-Maliki said missile was shot from Omran province towards Saudi Arabia. He said Saudi air forces destroyed the missile and no injuries were reported.

The statement highlighted that since the beginning of the war in Yemen, the Houthi militias shot 179 missiles towards Saudi cities.

Saudi Arabia has been accusing Iran of supporting the militias by supplying them with missiles and weapons to destabilize the regional security.
