Kashmiris love Pakistan: Ex. CM Farooq Abdullah
Former puppet Chief Minister and pro-India National Conference leader, Farooq Abdullah has said that people of Kashmir have love for Pakistan and that New Delhi cannot wipe it out even if throws open all its coffers.
Farooq Abdullah addressing party workers during a function at Khanabal in Islamabad said, "Here in Kashmir people love Pakistan. Even if you (New Delhi) will throw all your treasures open for them, you can't take away the sentiment from their hearts," Kashmir Media Service reported.
"The more Kashmiris are suppressed, the more their love for Pakistan will grow," he said, adding New Delhi thinks that by offering lucrative packages they can buy Kashmiris and erode the sentiment but it will not happen.
Stressing on better Pak-India relations, Farooq Abdullah said that both the countries should hold dialogue to resolve all outstanding issues including the Kashmir dispute.
Earlier, Farooq Abdullah said that time was ripe for a relook at draconian law, Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA), and its removal from the territory.
