Baluchistan CM discusses CPEC project with PM Nawaz

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Friday said Baluchistan would reap the highest benefits from the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.

Talking to Chief Minister Baluchistan Sardar Sanaullah Khan Zehri who called on him here at the PM House, the Prime Minister said the province was close to his heart and he was personally monitoring pace of the ongoing projects and schemes in the province.

The Prime Minister said the present government was proactively pursuing the agenda of progress and development across the country and socio-economic uplift of the people of Balochistan was its top priority.

He said Gwadar would soon be a modern industrial port city, and would change the lives of the people of Balochistan and the region.

"We are determined to empower and enable the people of Baluchistan to fully realize their true potential in all spheres of life," the Prime Minister said.

The Chief Minister apprised the Prime Minister on the status of various development projects and ongoing welfare schemes in the province. He said after revival of peace and stability in the province, the focus has been renewed to bring the province at par with rest of the country.

The Chief Minister thanked the Prime Minister for initiating massive infrastructure development projects across the province including the announcement of development and uplift package for Quetta city.

Sardar Sanaullah Khan Zehri lauded the leadership of the Prime Minister for prioritizing development schemes in Baluchistan, which would certainly address the decades old deprivations of the people of the province.

He said the overall law and order situation has immensely improved in the province for which the government and people of Baluchistan were grateful to the Federal Government.
