*RAWALPINDI – Tajikistan is ready to supply Pakistan with 1000 MWinexpensive electricity.*
*The Rogun Dam has commenced operations and Tajikistan is set to supplyinexpensive electricity to Pakistan in order to congregate its potentialenergy needs, stated Tajikistan Ambassador Sherali S Jononov.*
Jononov, during his visit to the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce andIndustry (RCCI) stated that Tajikistan was very much sentient of the energyrequirements of Pakistan, also electricity would be supplied to Pakistanunder the Central Asia-South Asia (Casa 1,000) energy project.
He also highlighted, the prospect of the schedule, that the Casa-1,000power project is likely to be fully operational by 2020.
He added, “Pakistan is now at the verge of rising on the globe and itssignificance has augmented under the CPEC. Central Asian countriesincluding Tajikistan now have the shortest access to sea via Gwadar Port.”
